Kaiser Craft - Tiny Woods

My husband comments each time I show him a completed layout 'why do they always have to be a square 12x12'...so I took the opportunity to do a layout that wasn't square just so I could hear a different comment from him!!!!!!!! I have arranged the layout so it will still fit perfectly into a 12x12 album. This range is super cute. Hope you like it. Rx

A mocha, the beach and some cards all in one day!

Those who know me well know that my day MUST invovle at least one Mocha! My hubby each morning has driven me from Dunsborough to the Margaret Chocolate Factory just so I could have one of the best Mochas ever. I took some great shots of the kids at Bunker Bay (another reason I love Australia) and finally when my youngest was having a nap on the couch I made some cards (I know it is becoming a habit!!). I made these with an handmade embellishment kit bought at 'allthingspaper' first paper dayz, so Lou thank you for your fab embellishments and see I kept my promise and made those cards!!!! Rx

Sassafras - indie girl and sweetly smitten..........and I am smitten!!

Whilst in Margaret River I had to pop into the Scrappy Cow, a lovely little shop and the owner was lovely and provided not only some new scrapbooking supplies but a bag of frozen peas for Oliver who had crushed his finger (don't ask!!!). Now I have to admit I have never been a huge fan of Sassafras probably because it has not suited my scrapping style but I fell in love with these ranges. The photo is a rare one taken of my mother and I when I was a baby so it is precious to me. A simple layout made stunning by paper choice. Rx

Basic Grey - Kissing Booth:

Being on design teams or teaching means you have to be mindful of adding lots of techniques. I must admit every now and then I love doing a layout just because and with no expectations. I love this range from basic grey but avoided a valentine theme, I chose a beautiful picture of my girl Gracie and went for a pretty plus look. Nearly every thing on the layout is from the kissing booth range, papers and embellishments. As I am in Dunsborough I have limited tools with me, I would have added some machine sewing and it needs a title and when we finish our holiday that is exactly what I will do. The photo really does not do any justice to the great colours and patterns of this paper range. Rx

Flowers made with the embellishment packs, layered and to create the 3D look foam tape was used in between the layers.

Banners hand cut from the papers with added heart and thread.

Bird transparency from embellishment kits and word tag placed underneath.

The outer flower was a transparency journalling block which I  cut out the centre and used as an outer flower.

Crate Paper - Paper Heart Collection...........Valentine

I don't usually rush to buy valentine ranges (mainly as I do not have great photos of Hubby and I together) but I have really liked several ranges this year. I found a beautiful photo of Oliver giving his baby brother Ben a cuddle. I chose the more subtle papers from the range and used the matching embellishments. I hand made a pocket and embellished which became a feature of the page. I have machine sewed in a random manner. RX

All about Kaiser - Madam Boutique

I have loved the ranges by Kaiser of late. It was easy to be inspired to create a heritage layout. This photo is of my late grandmother, grandfather whom I never met as he died before I was born and in the pram is my father. When I scrap these types of photos my children ask who, what, where and through telling them the story behind the photo those people are kept alive in our memories. Rx

I love this range and so I found that rare photo of my husband and I together and got busy. Happy with the result and I like the romantic feel created with these papers (which after many years of marriage and many children it is no mean feat to create too much romance!!!!). Enjoy! Rx

I love handmade cards but rarely make them. I just completed a layout using Kaiser Sweet Nothings range and could not leave the cherub to the bin (as my fellow scrappers will tell you, I don't keep my left overs!!) and hence the card. With valentines day approaching I know exactly who I will be giving this to. Rx

Gift Tags

I have a few friends and family birthdays this month and to add a little something special I made some shabby chic gift tags. Inexpensive and quick to make. As my dear friend Giselle will tell you I am not known for my gift wrapping, so in 2012 I shall prove her wrong!!!!!!!!!! Rx
Picture
I used Tim Holtz crackle paint (white with alittle pine cone), die cut tag and flowers, Collection hearts, buttons and thread. The paper used for the flowers and banner were scraps using shabby colours (pastel or muted blue, pink and greens).
