I am so in love with this new collection from Crate Paper. Here is what I am working on currently, lots of layering going on here!

Birthday themed layouts I am not a fan of due to the photos being very ordinary. As most of us know being a mum at a birthday party with lots of hyper children make it difficult to set up photos worthy of scrapping. However when I received monthly kit from Studio Calico early in August this birthday layout took my eye, for it's simplicity and yet still recording your child's new age. It certainly was not hard to get my boy to pose for one photo holding a card with his age on. Mission accomplished!  I have rediscovered my love of flowers and of course I have so many in my stash. I used a cut file from the Silhouette design store to frame my photo and create my title. Then I added some flowers. The fact that my photo is the centre of attention on this layout made me stop over adding on the layout which I finished with some splashes of gold.  Who couldn't love this collection, especially with this gorgeous cat paper. Here is a sneak peak of today's mummy time!  Published in this months Scrapbooking Memories.
