So my DT challenge was to create a St Patrick's Day layout. Now I do not celebrate this day and NO appropriate photos arghhh! When all else fails scrap a fur baby I say lol! I have used a Geometric Shamrock from the Silhouette Design store. It's fun and modern.I also made some sweet treat boxes and cupcake holders in the St Patricks day theme . I hope they inspire you in some way x  Grid layouts are perfect to use up any beautiful papers and embellishments left over (but not enough to make a whole layout). This layout has some reminders for me! Lots of layering, sewing and adding foam tape to create a 3D effect.  And it is Monochromatic, use one colour only, varying shades ok! I find monochromatic layouts quite a challenge without heading to a mixed media layout. I have used Indigo Hills by Pink Fresh Studio using only the blues and white. I ended up being very happy with how this layout turned out. I hope you will join us and give it a go! I have a tutorial over at Helmar showing you step by step how to create these with scraps from your stash. Of course you need great adhesives to make any project work and that is why I use Helmar adhesives. I have used it on this layout and I over sized it for impact. This photo of my daughter is the sweetest thing!  I am a huge fan of Wild Wishper Designs, rustic yet modern! Here is a layout I have created using the gorgeous collection Adventure. I have used two cut files from the Silhouette Design store. As soon as I saw the little houses it immediately inspired me to create this layout. This is photo of me and my three sons. I found a house cut file from The Silhouette Design store which I cut in black cardstock. I then used water colour paints to colour the inside of my house. I have added paper from the collection to the roof and windows. I then set about adding the embellishments that added to my theme, love the puffy stickers in particular!!! www.pinkfreshstudio.com  |
